The homes at Birds of a Feather will ultimately complete this sense of community.
We believe that many people are interested in simplifying, and in reallocating their time and personal resources to the things that give them pleasure and their lives a sense of meaning.
To this end, we are currently offering 18 exceptional lots in Phase I designed for "not so big" homes initially in three types; "casitas", "econests", and single family homes. Individual lot sizes range from 1/4 to 1/2 acres for casitas to one acre more or less for econests or single family homes.
The smaller "footprint" of the homes will allow the emphasis to be put on interior detail and livability rather than quantity of space. All housing types will offer simplicity of form and construction and be less consumptive of resources and energy. Homes will be designed with great care and tailored to the lifestyles of the individual residents. They will be conceived and constructed in the Santa Fe Spirit using "Southwestern" architecture or contemporary versions thereof. Only quality materials and craftsmanship will be used to give each home a unique sense of personality and place. The presence of exterior "rooms"gardens, patios, solariums, fences, and trellises will allow homes to respond to and easily engage their natural surroundings of gardens, breeze, sun and elements of nature. Special consideration will be taken to encourage and enhance native New Mexican flora and fauna in and around the site. Please see our Casita and Econest pages for more detailed information. Single-family homes may be custom designed or you may choose from one of our builder’s floor plans. Pricing starts around $225.00 a sq. ft. and goes up from there depending on your choice of finishes. Minimum square footage is 1200 and Maximum square footage is 3000 for all types of housing.

Construction of homes must begin within 5 years of closing and be completed in a timely manner. We are attempting to create a community where women and their friends can live, play, belong and grow older together!
